Intensive Driving Courses with Chris Richards ADI...

Our Intensive courses (sometime referred to as Crash Courses or Quick Pass Courses) are fantastic ways to learn to drive in a shorter time. As you are having more lessons per week then normal single lessons you can recall and develop your skills faster, hence saving you money and time!
The courses will normally take 1-8 weeks depending on how many hours you can fit in per week and you circumstances. If you have your theory then the shorter course times are available. If you don't then you can still pass quickly but extra time is sometimes needed to allow you to study for your theory. Or book a course and pass your theory before your intensive course begins!

We can also book your Practical Driving test for you as part of your course but this will incur the normal DSA Test fee (currently £62 for a weekday test)

You will receive one-2-one tuition so you will always have the instructors full concentration as you cant learn to drive with out actually driving!!(100% of your time is spent learning and driving not watching someone else for half the time!).

We offer several types of courses depending on you experience and time available...

Test Rescue Course

This Course is 12 Hours in duration and designed for those who have unfortunately failed their test recently. The tuition will be tailored to your needs and will focus on removing the driver errors you received on your previous test. Keeping your test sheet showing your driving errors will help in identifying your mistakes quickly otherwise we will use the first hour as an assessment to find out what your tuition needs are. (Can also be done in 1 week if required!)

Or Pay a £50 deposit to secure your lesson slots and the balance on the first day of your course.

Experienced Course

This course is 22 hours in duration and is designed to help learners who have had 20 hours of tuition and plenty of private practice already. Your tuition will start at a level suited to your needs. (Can also be done in 1 week if required!)

Intermediate Course

This course is 32 hours in duration and is suitable for the learner who has already mastered the basics. (Moving off and stopping, MSM-PSL, Left and Right Turns and Emerging at T-Junctions etc).

Beginner Course

As the name suggests this is the course for you if you have had little or no experience. It is 42 hours in duration.

We will do this as many times as necessary to get you through.
If you Pass your test 1st time (which is what we aim for!) you will receive our Pass Plus course for free. Please see our Guaranteed pass Course page for more important information

A Typical 1 Week Schedule of a 42 hour course

The Driving courses usually start on a Monday and finish on a Friday with your test on the final day. You also have the option do do this course over several weeks and it will be tailored to your needs.

Day 1 (usually a Sunday)

7 hours in duration. 2 Hours Tuition (am) covering the basics or an assessment lesson if you have had previous experience. After the initial 2 hours we will then tailor the rest of the course’s tuition to your needs and monitor it with you at every step of the way ( you will have a copy of this in your log book to help keep you informed). We will then continue with another 5 hours of tuition with a break if needed.

Day 2 (usually a Monday)

7 hours of tuition tailored and monitored to your needs with breaks when and if necessary.

Day 3 (usually a Tuesday)

7 hours of tuition tailored and monitored to your needs with breaks when and if necessary.

Day 4 (usually a Wednesday)

7 hours of tuition tailored and monitored to your needs with breaks when and if necessary.

Day 6 (usually a Thursday)

7 hours in duration which includes a Mock Test, advise and helpful information to help prepare you for your real Practical test. We can then also re-tailor the remaining hours of tuition to you new individual needs as highlighted by your mock test.

Day 7 (Test day)

This is usually the next day (Friday) but sometimes due to test center availability it may be later that week or early next week. If this is likely to be the case we will discuss it with you before the beginning of your course and if necessary re-schedule some of you course to fit in with the test date. However this usually only applies to some short notice courses as with enough notice we can plan and find the test time to suit. Also if you pass your theory test late or during the course this can also effect test availability (please contact me if this applies or for more information). On your test day we will provide 6 hours of tuition with breaks and then on the 7th hour will follow your Practical Test. This day will be structured to give you the best chance of passing as agreed prior with the learner.

Sometimes our learners like to complete the weeks course and have the test on the following week. This can sometimes help you relax a little as a weeks course can be too stressful for some. As such the tuition would be spread out over a longer time or you can use 3 hours of the time from the week to have your test and a lesson before at a later date ( within 5 days from the end of the course as you need consistent tuition to pass your test).

Please not this is only a typical course and can be changed for your needs and availability.
