...The Theory test is split into 2 parts. The First part consists of 50 multiple choice questions and the second part you have to complete the Hazard Perception test.
...The multiple choice part consists of 50 multiple choice questions. At the theory test center you select your answers by touching the box alongside the answer (or answers as some question ask you to select the 3 correct statements out of 5) you think is correct. Some car and motorcycle multiple choice questions will be given as a case study. The case study will show a scenario that five questions will be based on. The subject of the scenario focuses on real life examples and experiences that drivers could come across when driving. You also have the option to flag the question so you can review it at the end. Once you have answered all 50 questions you have the options to review all, review flagged, review incomplete and end.
...You have 50 questions and 57 minutes to complete the test. The pass mark for the multiple choice part of the theory test is 43 out of 50.
...The hazard perception part of the test has 14 video clips which last around 1 minute each. In each clip there will be at least one score able hazard, but one of the clips will feature two score able hazards. To score on the clips you have to click your mouse when you can see a hazard developing. The earlier you click the more you score.
...To achieve a high score you will need to respond to the developing hazard during the early part of its development. The maximum you can score on each hazard is five. You cannot review you answers to this
part of the test. The pass mark for the car and motorcycle hazard perception part of the
