BTEC Level 2 award Demonstrate Safe Driving (Car Driver)

Overview of the Btec course

Chris Richards ADI can offer you a BTEC Level 2 Award in Demonstrating Safe Driving in assosiation with EDEXCEL and Any Driver Ltd.
This is an exculsive offer and only Any Driver Associates can off you this. As such they demand the highest caliber of Instructors. We are not only high graded DSA ADI's but we also have A1 Assesor qualifications and much more meaning we are easily in the top 5% of ADI's in the country.
We run this qualification in place of the Pass Plus course that is loosing the backing of insurance companies. This BTEC course is a nationaly recognised qualification and we have the ability to and freedom to teach you to a far higher and more advanced style of driving which will be able to lower your risk and improve your driving skills.
Part of the training for this qualification is done while leraning to drive on your normal driving lessons so you only have to do 3 hours post test (pass plus is 6 hours post test). We also teach you more about the cars safety features and when the safety features actully hinder you (e.g. ABS in snow / Icy conditions) On your post test session we will cover much of the points in the "Roadcraft" manual which is the police advanced drivers handbook!

What we cover in the post test phase of the BTEC course

We will cover topics like:
• Acceleration sence
• Limit Points
• Overtaking Positions
• POWDER pre drive checks
• Show you how to work out other road users intentions before they even realise it them selves!
• We teach you a more advanced Scanning Technique
• We talk about difernt systems of car control and benifits of them
• You will also have a better understanding og Tyre grip trade off. Kepping you safer on the road.
• Safe Town driving
• All weather driving and spotting / dealing with Micro climates
• Efficent and Safe Motorway Driving
• Assesment of your driving skills
• Safe Night-time driving using predictive perception.

What the BTEC Course comprises:

All you need to do is complete these stages:

• Pass your DSA theory hazard peception test
• Pass your DSA practical driving test
• Complete a workbook
• Have a three hour post test driving assesment / coaching session and be able to demonstrate the following main points (on which you will be coached through at the beginning and assessed at the end of the session):
  • You need to demonstrate competence of safe driving on a Motorway
  • You need to demonstrate the ability to ensure the safety of other road users and pedestrians
  • You need to be able to demonstrate that you can maintain appropriate speed, position and control of your vehicle
  • You will have to carry out safely the required manoeuvres

Cost of the BTEC Course

All new novice drivers starting with Chris Richards ADI will be offered this course and you will get a FREE Voucher for you Certificate* when you learn to drive with us. Saving you £40! When you complete 25 hours or more Pre-test training. If you complete 15 hours you will have the certificate discounted to £20.
As you learn to drive you will be assesed as part of your normall driving lessons and as such you will only have to pay for the post test part of the course.
The Post-test part is charged at our normal Post-Test charges. This will work out at £78 for the three hour session. Remember you are getting the certificate for free*(usually £40 payable to Edexcell)

What if i have allready passed my Test?

If you have already passed you test then you can still complete the BTEC course. All you have to do is provide the evidance that you have passed your theory test. You passed you Practical driving test(within 2 years), complete the workbooks(simple) and pass the post-test assessment. The cost for this will be £78 for the 3 hours post test assessment / coaching and £40 Edexcell certificate fee. Total £118.
